A decentralized cryptocurrency exchange start-up company is looking to hire a Backend Engineer in Miami, FL or New York City, NY. Their mission is to build the most seamless decentralized trading experience, and to allow traders to access products previously impossible in DeFi. They are a small, fully remote team that likes to move quickly, so is needing someone that is independently motivated and a proactive communicator. You must be able to collaborate with other team members remotely to accomplish tasks with limited oversight. Responsibilities:

- Design backend systems that will allow client to scale to its next suite of product offerings.

- Make infrastructure choices that will scale system throughput by 10-100x

- Increase and maintain platform availability

- Allow for extensibility, so as to support new features (e. g. Limit Orders)

- Collaborate with Stakeholders (Market Makers, Takers) in order to design systems that comply with industry best practices.
